Rapid Snack developed a rigorous and efficient Quality department, able to offer its customers products that meet their requirements.
What are the processes involved? Why are they important?
Rapid Snack opens the doors of its quality department with clearness.
Peanut and Nut free
Nuts and peanuts are the first allergen affecting Canadians. According to its desire to protect its consumers, Rapid Snack implements the principles of "Nuts and Peanuts free" production thanks to:
- A check of the whole ingredients entering the plant, thanks to dated and signed certificates.
- A training to allergens and their consequences is provided to each employee upon arrival.
- A weekly checks of orderliness of staff in prohibiting the introduction of nuts and peanuts in the company’s premises
HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
The HACCP standard is an analysis and a control of risk management that can appear during the fabrication process.
In practice, the Quality department shall ensure that government standards are met in respect of premises, equipment, traceability, staff, transport… It also evaluates the risks and ensures a stric control of critical points.
Kosher
Rapid Snack cooperates with the Council of the Montreal Jewish community to meet the criteria for kosher production. All the ingredients are Kosher certified and all the manufactured products can be Kosher certified on demand.
Gluten Free
Gluten can cause intolerances. Rigorous control of food is conducted at each development of a gluten-free product and full documentation is required from suppliers.
Moreover, at each production the Quality department ensures a specific cleaning of the equipments to remove traces of gluten.
0 Trans Fat
In a healthy eating aim, Rapid Snack ensures that the ingredients of raw materials are Trans fat free so that final products meet the nutritional principle "0 Trans Fat”.
Health Check™
Rapid Snack takes part of the "Health Check" program which ensures the consumers that evaluated products meet the established criteria of the nutritionists from the Heart and Stroke Foundation basing on the recommendations of the Canada’s Food Guide. One of Rapid Snack’s products is part of this program.
